Dennis, I found the letters we were talking about. We received them from Exelon in Jan. They received them after the ERs were completed. Note that three of the attached files deal with coastal zone consistency.

Salem and Hope Creek Agency Letters Hi Bobbie -

I am attaching five files containing Agency response letters received by PSEG after the Salem and Hope Creek License Renewal Environmental Reports were filed with the NRC. Three of the letters are State responses concerning PSEG's CZMA Federal Consistency Certifications, which were previously sent by email to Charles Eccleston on 10/30/2009. The other two letters, which have not been previously sent to Charles, are from the US Fish and Wildlife Service regarding T&E species.

All of these letters will be officially transmitted shortly after the Environmental Audit to the NRC for docketing and placement into ADAMS along with any requested ER reference documents.

Please let us know if there are questions.

Thanks.

State Coastal Zone Management Act (CZMA) Consistency Determinations for Salem and Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations 18

Hi Charles -

Thank you for taking time yesterday to talk by phone with the PSEG Nuclear/Exelon team about the NRC's environmental review of the license renewal application for the Salem and Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations.

As we discussed during our phone call, PSEG Nuclear submitted the License Renewal Applications for Salem and Hope Creek to the NRC on August 18, 2009. In parallel on the same date, CZMA Federal Consistency Certifications for license renewal of the Salem and Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations were submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP), with copies to the NRC, pursuant to 15 CFR 930.57.

On October 8, 2009, the NJDEP responded with a CZMA Consistency Determination for each plant. I am attaching PDF files containing the NJDEP letters. Also attached is a PDF file containing a letter to PSEG Nuclear stating that the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) has determined that it is not necessary for PSEG Nuclear to file a CZMA Federal Consistency Certification in Delaware.

At your request, copies of the attached letters will also be mailed to the NRC as supplements to the Salem and Hope Creek License Renewal Environmental Reports.
