This letter provides the eighth response to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission

("NRC") letters dated February 26, 2011 and May 24, 2011 in the above docket.

This letter forwards an affidavit executed by Dario Brisighella on September 19, 2011, updating the previous responses. The attached identifies that another entity has entered into negotiations over the sale of Aerotest Radiography and Research Reactor ("ARRR"). In addition, the attached states that EnergySolutions has informed Aerotest Operations, Inc. ("Aerotest") that some of its submittals to Aerotest are delayed. The affidavit affirms that, despite these delays, Aerotest believes that the Decommissioning Plan will be submitted to the NRC by December 12, 2011.

On February 26, 2011, the NRC issued a Confirmatory Action Letter ("CAL") in this docket, describing the actions Aerotest agreed it had taken or will take regarding operations, amending the license, staffing, decommissioning planning, and managing and funding disposition of fuel associated with the ARRR. Aerotest will provide its next update under the CAL by November 15, 2011.

Document Control Desk September 20, 2011 Page 2 of 2 On May 24, 2011, the NRC issued a Request for Additional Information ("RAI").

The RAI requested that Aerotest provide at 14 day intervals an update of the information request in the RAI. Unless otherwise directed by the NRC, Aerotest will provide its next update in response to the RAI by October 4, 2011.

The undersigned affirms the accuracy of the contents of this letter to best of his knowledge and belief. If you have any questions regarding this submittal, please contact the undersigned at (202) 663-8063 (robert.haemerapillsburylaw.com) or Michael S.
