RE: Salem & HC environmental review We have done EDO notes for schedule extensions for PINGP and IP. We may want to consider doing one for this. If so, here's the issued EDO notes:
The schedule for issuing the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for Indian Point Units 2 and 3 license renewal has been delayed. The staff fiad intended to issue the Final SEIS on August 31, 2010, but now intends to issue the Final SEIS on or before November 19, 2010, to allow time to consider the large number of public comments the staff has received from members of the public. The staff issued a formal schedule change letter on August 31, 2010.
The schedule for issuing the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) for the Prairie Island Generating Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 has been delayed one month. The delay is due to staff identifying additional information needed from the applicant to complete their review. The FSEIS is expected to be published by the end of October 2010.
The staff issued a formal schedule change letter on September 1, 2010.

I just signed a letter out to Salem & HC to extend their environmental review schedule as indicated below. All the major milestones, including DSEIS issuance, DSEIS meeting, and FSEIS issuance will be impacted. I've also just spoke to Nancy Ranek to inform her of the change.
From here on, I'd like to have Charles focus on finishing and issuing the FSEIS for Duane Arnold. Leslie will take over putting & issuing the DSEIS for Salem & HC until Charles is free from DAEC. Leslie, please make sure the schedule for the interface meeting handouts and public webpage are updated with this info. Thanks.
