RE: Salem/Hope Creek SAMA review schedule jay, i think we can work with a little flexibility in the schedule for the DSEIS, as you indicated below, however, it won't serve us to stagger the 2 input, since we are planning on going with one SEIS for both applications.

RE: Salem/Hope Creek SAMA review schedule Looks like our normal schedule has the DSEIS in about 11 months after application submittal which in this case would be 07/31/10. The last couple applications were held up due to continuing resolution and may not have reflected our normal timeline. In this case, it looks like the DSEIS would have to be moved out to 09/30/2010 to support your request. There is a little leeway with issuing the DSEIS so what I'm thinking is that we can move the DSEIS out to 08/31/2010 and then move the SAMA input for the DSEIS to 05/31/2010 which then gives about three months for review and publication. We may be able to stagger them with one by 05/31/2010 and the other by 06/15/2010. I don't think we can go any later than that. Let me know what you think. I will talk about it with Bo when he returns from the GElS meetings. Thanks. Jay.

Salem/Hope Creek SAMA review schedule
Dear Jay,
Bob Palla and I in DRA/APLA received the work request for the SAMA review for Salem and Hope Creek plants for license renewal, and would like to suggest some changes to the dates on the green sheet.
The proposed time between getting RAI responses back from the licensee and getting our SAMA input to you for the DSEIS is much shorter than usual.
We would like to propose a couple of changes -- please let us know what you think.
(1) Move SAMA input for DSEIS from 4/15/10 to 6/15/10 (2) Can we stagger the Hope Creek and Salem 1/2 input by a couple of weeks, e.g., have one of them come in a couple of weeks or month later (6/30/10 or 7/15/10)?
The reason is that the plant designs are different so the reviews will not be identical.
