The July 21, 2011, exemption request does not include an environmental report. To aid the staff in performing an environmental assessment, an environmental report should be submitted pursuant 10 CFR 51.60 which discusses the considerations of 10 CFR 51.45. The staff also notes that 10 CFR 51.22(c)(25) delineates the criteria for determining if an environmental assessment is required for exemption approval. Upon reviewing the provided information by Virginia Electric and Power Company, the staff does not find the exemption request to meet the categorical exclusion requirements, thus an environmental report is needed.

This information is needed for staff to complete an environmental assessment pursuant 10 CFR 51.30.

Thermal Evaluation Provide the ANSYS files required to run the thermal analyses presented in Transnuclear, Inc.

Calculation No. 10494-174, including the files listed in Section 6.0 of the calculation.

The staff needs the files to run the ANSYS thermal analyses, including those listed in Section 6.0, to verify the models presented in Transnuclear, Inc. Calculation No. 10494-174.

This information is needed to determine compliance with 10 CFR 72.122(h).
