RESPONSE TO THE STATE OF VERMONT DEPARMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE REGARDING DECOMMISSIONING FUNDING ASSURANCE FOR VERMONT YANKEE
Dear Commissioner Hofmann:
Thank you for your letter of June 23, 2011, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML11187A311) regarding Entergy Nuclear Operations (ENO) notice to the NRC of its intent to cancel a parent company guarantee by Entergy Corporation for
$40 million of the decommissioning cost for the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station (ADAMS Accession No. ML111250255).
Enclosed for your information is a copy of the NRCs correspondence to ENO regarding their notification. The NRC correspondence regarding the notification of intent to cancel can also be found at ADAMS Accession No. ML112210193.
