Dairyland Power Cooperative La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor Possession-Only License No. DPR-45, Docket No. 50-409 Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation Docket No. 72-46 Notification of the Intent to Store Fuel in an Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation Pursuant to 10 CFR 72.212(b)(1), Dairyland Power Cooperative (DPC) hereby provides notification of its intent to store spent nuclear fuel in an Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) at the La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor (LACBWR) site. The Part 50 possession-only license for LACBWR is issued to DPC, located in La Crosse, WI. LACBWR's address is S4601 State Highway 35, Genoa, WI 54632. The address of the ISFSI will be S4561 State Highway 35, Genoa WI 54632.
DPC has chosen the NAC Multi-Purpose Canister (MPC) System. The NAC-MPC System, Certificate of Compliance No. 1025, Amendment 6, applicable to the MPC-LACBWR configuration, was issued October 4, 2010. The NAC-MPC system will be used to store spent nuclear fuel under 10 CFR Part 72 general license provisions at the ISFSI. Fuel loading at the ISFSI is currently scheduled to commence in late October 2011.
