ARKANSAS NUCLEAR ONE, UNIT 2 - REVIEW OF AMENDMENT 22 OF SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT (TAC NO. ME5707)
By letter dated March 18, 2010 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML100880297), Entergy Operations Inc. (Entergy, the licensee),
submitted Amendment (or more commonly termed as Revision) 22 to the Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 2 (ANO-2) Safety Analysis Report (SAR). Amendment 22 of the SAR included the changes made to the SAR during the period October 6, 2008, through March 18, 2010.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff issued License Amendment Nos. 283 through 289 during the period October 6, 2008, through March 18, 2010. Additionally, License Amendment Nos. 274 through 282, issued from February 4 through September 8, 2008, were also reviewed for this task. This period of February 4 through September 8, 2008, covers a maximum period of 6 months prior to the date that the last update of the SAR was submitted to the NRC A sample of the potential changes to the SAR as a result of those amendments was reviewed to ensure that the revised SAR reflected those changes. The changes were incorporated into Revision 22.
Amendment 22 of the ANO-2 SAR has been reviewed in accordance with the Division of Operating Reactor Licensing Handbook and the submittal met the requirements of the periodic submittal required by 10 CFR 50.71(e).
