Turkey Point EPU - Electrical Engineering (EEEB) Request for Additional Information - Round 2
- Steve, Below are requests for additional information (RAIs) regarding the Turkey Point Extended Power Uprate license amendment request. On June 9, 2011, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff and Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) discussed draft RAIs to gain a common understanding of the questions.
Specifically, FPL requested a call to discuss question EEEB-2.1. The below RAIs reflect the questions discussed during the June 9, 2011, call. FPL agreed upon providing its responses within 30 days of the date of this email. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
EEEB-2.1 Provide the normal and accident radiation dose levels for all areas in which environmentally qualified equipment is installed in tabular form showing the Pre-EPU, EPU conditions, and qualified doses. In the table(s), indentify any equipment qualified based on replacement or further evaluation (such as cables discussed in the licensees response letter dated March 11, 2011).
EEEB-2.2 Provide the actual design ampere rating of modified Isolated Phase Bus Duct to show that it bounds the required 28,508 A rating, as stated in the license amendment request.
