CallSummary:NRCcontactedJohnWrubliktodiscusswhethertheNRCshouldreinitiatesection7consultationasaresultofthe proposedSt.Lucieextendedpoweruprate.Mr.WrublikrecommendedthattheNRCcompleteabiologicalassessmentbecausethe extendedpoweruprateisadifferentactionthancontinuedoperation,whichistheactionthatwasassessedduringthe2006 consultation.Mr.Wrubliknotedthattheconsultationcouldlikelybeinformalandthatashortenedorsupplementalbiological assessmentwouldbeappropriateaslongasitcoveredthespecificsoftheextendedpoweruprateandanyupdatestothecrocodile populationandmonitoringsince2006.Mr.WrublikalsonotedthatFPLhasbeencoordinatingwithFWSandtheStatetoconduct studiesonthecrocodilepopulationsurroundingTurkeyPoint,whichcouldprovidevaluableinformationtoconsideraspartofthe section7consultation.
