Dear Sir or Madam,

NRC issued License Amendment No. 234 on January 26, 2011, (Reference 1) with a 60-day implementation schedule. Accordingly, the implementation must be completed on or before March 27, 2011. By this letter, Entergy requests a 30-day extension to complete the implementation of the Amendment.

Pilgrim licensing staff has informed the NRC Project Manager on or about March 23, 2011 that Pilgrim would require an additional 30 days to complete the implementation of License Amendment 234. This is due to resource impacts of the forced outage in February 2011 and on-going refueling outage (RFO)-18 preparations. The requested 30-day extension does not impact current Pilgrim operation until the shutdown for RFO-18 because the existing P-T curves in the Technical Specification are valid for the remaining operating cycle until the plant is shut down for RFO-18.

There are no commitments made in this submittal.
