INDUSTRY CONCERNS REGARDING THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSIONS MARCH 2, 2011 DECOMMISSIONING FUNDING WORKSHOP
Dear Mr. Pietrangelo:
I am responding to your March 8, 2011, letter regarding the Decommissioning Funding Workshop held by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). We appreciate the industrys active engagement on these issues, as well as the participation of other external stakeholders.
Your letter will be considered by the NRC, in addition to your comments submitted on April 4, 2011, and all other comments received on the Workshop. My staff is preparing a summary, which will be made available to the public, of all of the comments received during and subsequent to the Workshop. The outcomes of the Workshop, including the staffs assessment of the comments received, will be included as part of an Option Paper being developed for the Commissions consideration. I trust that you find the process outlined above responsive to your concerns.
