Subject:
Hope Creek Generating Station Docket No. 50-354 License Amendment Request H10-03: "License Amendment Request: Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG) A and B Allowed Outage Time (AOT) Extension" PSEG Nuclear LLC submitted the subject amendment request to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on March 29, 2010. The proposed amendment would revise the Hope Creek Technical Specifications by extending the AOT for EDGs A and B from 72 hours8.333333e-4 days <br />0.02 hours <br />1.190476e-4 weeks <br />2.7396e-5 months <br /> to 14 days. The proposed extended AOT is based on application of the Hope Creek Generating Station Probabilistic Risk 1
11 Assessment (PRA) in support of a risk-informed extension, and on additional considerations and compensatory actions. The proposed AOT for EDGs A and B "is consistent with the existing AOT for EDGs C and D.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Bureau of Nuclear Engineering reviewed the request in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.91(b). We have no comments.
