ESTABLISH AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STP NUCLEAR OPERATING COMPANY ON THE COLLECTION OF LICENSED OPERATOR SIMULATOR TRAINING DATA The STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) asked to collaborate with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on the collection and analysis of the STPNOCs licensed operator simulator training data for the improvement of NRC and STPNOCs human reliability analysis (HRA). Because the data would be effective in informing HRA and the collaboration would benefit both parties, NRC staff suggests that we work with STPNOC on the collaboration.
A data method for collecting routine simulator training data would be developed based on the foundation built on prior works. The enclosed memorandum of understanding between NRC and STPNOC was jointly developed by the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research and STPNOC staff. It also incorporated comments of the following NRC stakeholders:
