ML1104005340.pdf Helen:
By letter dated 7/19/2010 I&M submitted an application for amendment regarding cyber security. The NRC staff has reviewed the application and has determined that additional information is required to address three generic issues and thereby complete its technical review. These issues apply to all licensees of operating power reactors and address the following subjects:
- Scope of systems and the Commission determination made in the Staff Requirements Memorandum (SRM), CMWCO-10-0001, Regulation of Cyber Security at Nuclear Power Plants;
- Proposed Implementation Schedule for NRC approval;
- Records retention.
Attached please find the generic RAI, which is already docketed in ADAMS at Accession No. ML110400534. The NRC staff has determined that no security-related or proprietary information is contained therein. The NRC staff understands that the Nuclear Energy Institute and the industry Cyber Security Task Force are working to ensure that operating reactor licensees will submit to the NRC consistent responses to these generic RAIs.
Please provide your formal response within 30 days of the date of this e-mail. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
