My name is: 3 aner - e1wno~v" and I am =pwg-.,, g OPEIU Local 19. OPEIU stands for Office & Professional Employees Internation Union and we represent the clerical support staff at Davis Besse. On behalf of the Union I'd like to voice our support at this public meeting. A renewal of this license will promote and maintain employment of not only'our members,. who lie and shop and send their children to schools in this area, but... it will assure the delivery of reliable electric service to all our customers.
Research has shown that nuclear power is clean. It is efficient and produces more energy at a lower cost that any other means of generation so it is important that we keep this plant in operation.
Local 19 is proud of the safety record and operations at Davis-Besse as well as the work we do here and the service we provide to the public. OPEIUJ Local 19 would like to continue to be part of the team for the next 20 years.
