Endangered Species Consultation with Fish and Wildlife Service re: License Renewal Terry -
NRC staff has been in contact with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) regarding Endangered Species Act consultations for Diablo Canyon license renwal. Based on our discussions, FWS appears to require additional information about the locations of PG&Es transmission lines associated with Diablo Canyon in order to refine their list of terrestrial endangered species.
Ideally, FWS would like shape files of the transmission lines that they can then overlay on their GIS maps. I dont know whether this type of information can be made available to them, but I would like to discuss it - and any other potential options, as well as any questions you may have - with you when you are available. Weve been in touch with the two FWS offices that will need the information, and it seems likely that PG&E could convey the information directly to them, though I will confirm that.
