- NON EMERGENCY OFFSITE NOTIFICATION OF A DEAD SEA TURTLE RECOVERY On February 15, 2011, two dead Green Sea Turtle was retrieved from the plants intake canal.
Injuries were determined not to be causal to plant operation. Final disposition is unknown and to be determined.
Per the plants turtle permit, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWCC) was notified at 0808 EST. This non-emergency notification is being made pursuant to 10 CFR 50.72(b)(2)(xi) due to the notification of the FWCC.
The NRC Resident Inspector has been notified.
R2DO (McCoy) informed. An e-mail of this log entry has also been sent to the endangered species group.
