Dear Sir or Madam:

In Reference 1, Entergy Nuclear Operations (ENO) proposed an amendment to Operating License DPR-28 for the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station.

During their review, the NRC staff requested that ENO revise the proposed wording to Technical Specification (TS) 3.7.A.8 as follows:

"IfSpecification 3.7.A.1 through 3.7.A.6 are not met, an orderly shutdown shall be initiated and the reactor shall be in a cold shutdown condition within 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br />." provides the revised TS page 151 to reflect this change. This change is considered administrative and does not affect the conclusions of the no significant hazards consideration determination provided in Reference 1.

There are no new regulatory commitments made in this letter.
