This refers to the meeting conducted at your request at Doubletree Hotel in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, on January 11, 2011. The purpose of the meeting was to allow FPL to discuss assessments of safety culture and plans to improve safety culture at FPL sites in Florida. Enclosed are a list of attendees and the presentation handouts.
The discussions focused on the following topics. Nuclear safety culture values and principles, path to sustainability, nuclear safety culture program status, Human Resources Update, Turkey Point NSC Status, St. Lucie NSC Status, and Employee Concerns Program and Contractor Initiatives. The meeting was informative and did not result in any specific action items or decisions.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR) or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
