SUMMARY

OF MEETING WITH PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY REGARDING THE RESULTS OF THE SHORELINE FAULT ZONE SEISMIC REPORT

Dear Mr. Conway:

This refers to the public meeting conducted at San Luis Obispo, California, on January 19, 2011, between the NRC and your staff. The participants discussed the results of the Pacific Gas and Electric report on the shoreline fault zone that was submitted to the NRC on January 7, 2011.

This meeting was classified as a Category 1 public meeting, as communicated in the meeting notice (ADAMS ML103570371). This provided an opportunity for members of the public to discuss regulatory issues with the NRC after the business portion of the meeting, but before the meeting adjourned.

The attendance list for the meeting is enclosed with this summary (Enclosure 1). A copy of the NRC and Pacific Gas and Electric Company presentation slides, a copy of the Pacific Gas and Electric shoreline fault zone report executive summary, and a copy of the list acronyms used is also enclosed (Enclosure 2).

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter, and its enclosures, will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
