Coast Guard Meeting FYI.
I attended a meeting today with the Coast Guard, DEC, and Entergy to discuss the oil in the river.
The meeting was to discuss how much oil was in the river, plans for cleanup, plans going forward, etc.
Basically it is too soon to tell how much oil has gone in the river. The licensee is currently working on cleaning up the oil onsite and preventing anymore from entering the river. The Coast Guard will likely provide some recommendations for river cleanup.
The licensee did inform the stakeholders yesterday of the oil, but currently does not plan on any press releases.
