Dear Mr. Baron,
I wish to express my gratitude to you and your staff for the support that was provided to the Polish delegation that visited Calvert Cliffs nuclear power plant (NPP) on January 12, 2011. I am particularly grateful that you were able to take time out from your busy schedule to warmly welcome our Polish counterparts. Your attention to their visit was especially appreciated, considering that there was short notice and that they were at such a high level in the Polish government.
Poland is one of many countries that have announced plans to develop a new nuclear power program and, as a result, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has been increasingly cooperating with Poland in its activities to enhance nuclear safety and regulatory infrastructure.
Thank you again for the effort you made to provide the Polish delegation with excellent briefings and a site tour of Calvert Cliffs NPP. We have received feedback from the Polish delegation that they found the visit extremely informative and interesting.
