EPU and RPS/ESFAS Setpoint Changes

  • Safety analyses have been performed in support of EPU Analytical limits for RPS and ESFAS trip functions are not changed by EPU

EPU and RPS/ESFAS Setpoint Changes (cont.)

  • No changes to Technical Specifications for RPS or ESFAS Setpoints are required with EPU Implementation
  • TSTF-493 requirements will be addressed in a separate LAR

RPS/ESFAS Setpoint Calculation Update

  • OPPD has initiated updates to all of the Technical Specification RPS/ESFAS Calculations to address TSTF-493 requirements
  • TSTF-493 definitions and methods for As-Found and As-left Tolerances will be incorporated into setpoint calculation methodology
  • A plant specific transmitter drift analysis is being developed to ensure currently used drift terms are bounding

Surveillance Procedure Updates

  • Surveillance procedure revisions related to TSTF-493 will be incorporated after calculations are finalized
  • Preliminary review of surveillance test tolerances indicates that current tolerances are generally adequate and that few changes will be needed

Technical Specification Revisions

  • Any changes to Technical Specifications resulting from the TSTF-493 upgrades will be addressed in the future as a separate LAR (i e addressed in the future as a separate LAR (i.e.

not related to the EPU LAR)

  • The TSTF-493 submittal is expected to occur after EPU implementation
