1.2 To partially satisfy the Channel Calibration requirement of Technical Specification 4.3.1.1.1, Table 4.3-1, Item 6. This requirement is applicable in Modes 2, 3, 4, 5 and with Reactor Trip System breakers closed and control rod drive system capable of rod withd rawal. [C0265]

2.0 PREREQUISITES IV 2.1 Using S1 (S2).IC-GP.NIS-0001 (Q), Nuclear Instrumentation System Data Procedure, OBTAIN and RECORD the following N31 data:

2.1.1.

Plateau Voltage and Tolerance values on Attachment 1, Sections 6.0 and 15.0.

2.1.2.

High Voltage Trip, Reset and Tolerance values on Attachment 1, Section 16.0.

2.1.3.

High Flux at Shutdown Trip, Reset and Tolerance Values on Attachment 1, Section 14.0.

2.2 Independently VERIFY data recorded by Step 2.1 is correct.

2.3 RECORD Unit that procedure is to be performed on in Step 5.1.3.

2.4 RECORD M& TE data on Attachment 2, Section 1.0.

2.5 REQUEST SM/CRS permission to perform this procedure.

2.6 SIGN Exhibit 1 and TRANSFER to RO.

2.7 RO should establish/verify the following:

2.7.1.

Channel N31 NOT selected on N IS Recorder NR45.

2.8 VERIFY reactor is shutdown or OPERATING AT GREATER THAN 10% Power.

3.2 Adjustments should be performed with drawer in fully withdrawn position. However, drawer temperature must be stabilized, by keeping drawer closed, a minimum of one hour prior to withdrawing.

3.3 If adjustments specified within this procedure fail to bring device(s) within REQUIRED TOLERANCES, INITIATE troubleshooting lAW MA-AA-716-004, Conduct Of Troubleshooting 3.4 ENSURE all applicable generic precautions and limitations of MA-AA-716-009, Use of Maintenance Procedures, are applied during performance of this procedure..

4.0 EQUIPMENT/MATERIAL REQUIRED 4.1 M&TE DMM, Fluke 45 or similiar (support taking power supply noise readings)

VERIFY Prerequisites have been met.

5.1.2.

VERIFY Precautions and Limitations have been reviewed.

5.1.3.

Procedure being performed on Unit __ ' VERIFY proper unit.

VERIFY the following Reactor Protection Status Lights are off:

VERIFY the following annunciators are off:

CAUTION If the previous steps were not performed correctly, performance of the following steps may cause a Reactor Trip. [C0225]

5.1.6.

PLACE LEVEL TRIP switch in BYPASS and VERIFY LEVEL TRIP BYPASS light on (N31 drawer).

VERIFY Control Room Annunciator ~ SR & IR TRIP BYP (E-29), on.

5.1.8.

IF reactor is > 15 % power AND HIGH FLUX AT SHUTDOWN switch in BLOCK, VERIFY the following Control Room indications off:

A.

Annunciator-SR HIGH FLUX AT SID BLOCKED (E-21).

5.2 Power Supplies 5.2.1.

CONNECT DMM (set forVDC) to test points TP105 (+) and TP107 (-)

(drawer N31).

5.2.2.

RECORD AS FOUND NQ102 (+25 VDC) Power Supply Voltage on, Section 1.0.

5.2.3.

DISCONNECT DMM from test points.

5.2.4.

CONNECT DMM (set forVDC) to test points TP106 (+) and TP107 (-)

(drawer N31).

5.2.5.

RECORD AS FOUND NQ103 (-25 VDC) Power Supply Voltage on, Section 2.0.

5.2.6.

DISCONNECT DMM from test pOints.

NOTE Voltage in the following step is not adjustable.

5.2.7.

CONNECT DMM (set forVDC) to test points TP103 (+) and TP102 (-)

(drawer N31).

5.2.B.RECORD AS FOUND (+6 VDC) Power Supply Voltage on Attachment 1, Section 3.0.

5.2.9.

PC PC DISCONNECT the following cables (back of SOURCE RANGE N31 drawer):

High Voltage cable at J 112 INPUT cable at J111 CAUTION Voltages in excess of 2000 VDC may be present. Do not touch probe or DMM after Instrument Power fuses installed.

CONNECT DMM (set for VDC) using High Voltage probe to High Voltage jack J112 (+) and GND terminal on Power Supply module NQ101.

E.

RECORD AS FOUND Detector Volt Meter N 1102 indication on, Section 6.0.

F.

INSTALL INSTRUMENT POWER fuses (SOURCE RANGE N31 drawer).

G.

VERIFY INSTRUMENT POWER ON light on.

H.RECORD AS FOUND NQ101 High Voltage Power Supply Voltage on, Section 6.0.

ADJUST LEVEL ADJ pot to 10.000 VDC (9.995 to 10.005) (N31 drawer front panel) and RECORD AS FOUND VALUE from Meter NI101 on, Section 10.0.

5.4.5.

DISCONNECT DMM from test points.

5.4.6.

ADJUST LEVEL ADJ pot fully CCW.

5.4.7.

PLACE OPERATION SELECTOR switch to REQUIRED SWITCH POSITIONS and RECORD AS FOUND data on Attachment 1, Section 11.0.

5.5 Isolation Amplifier. NM106 5.5.1.

Using Switch Box, CONNECT DMM (set for VDC) to the following test points:

(R78, bottom cabinet)

5.6.4.

5.7 High Flux At Shutdown Bistable. NC103 5.7.1.

ADJUST HI VOLT ADJUST pot to AS FOUND value recorded on, Section 15.0.

NOTE Section 8.0 should be referenced to determine which OUTPUT MONITORING POINT(s) require AS LEFT data to be recorded, based on instrument interaction.

5.9 Adjustments 5.9.1.

IF NO adjustments are required for POWER SUPPLY NQ1 02, MARK Steps 5.9.1.A through 5.9.1.C N/A and GO TO Step 5.9.2.

ADJUST ZERO pot (NM105 module) until Meter NI101 indicates 60 (50 to 75) CPS.

H.

PLACE OPERATION SELECTOR switch in 105 CPS.

I.

ADJUST GAIN pot (NM105 module) until Meter NI101 indicates 105 (8 x 104 to 1.2 x 105 ) CPS.

J.

PLACE OPERATION SELECTOR switch in 106 CPS.

ADJUST 106 ADJ pot (NM104 module) until Meter NI101 indicates 106 (8 x 105 to 1.2 X 106 ) CPS.
