Dear Mr. Tschiltz:
As a clarification to my December 17, 2010 letter (Reference
- 6) GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GEH)requests an extension of time to respond to References 4 and 5. This extension will allow GEH to develop the described action plan, meet with NRC management, technical, and legal personnel as appropriate in a public meeting, and engage in a structured and methodical discussion of the LRA, the issues raised by the NRC to date, and discuss GEH's plans for resolution of those issues.Under the requested extension, GEH will revise and resubmit the LRA and DCP/CE within 60 days from the date of the requested public meeting.
