Mysonwhowassittinginhisdeerstandobservingdifferentbirdspecieswas surprisedtoseeanAmericanbaldeagle,(asymbolforourUSA)landinatree onourproperty.(Weare3milesfromtheproposedplantsite.)TheAmerican baldeaglestayedawhilethenflewoff.Mysonis50yearsoldthisisthefirst timehehasseenabaldeagleinthewild.

Weknowthatbaldeaglesnestonranchlandneartheproposedheavyhaul road.TheladyattheNRCmeetingspokeofthearchaeologistfindsontheir ranchthatwasdestroyedwhenExeloncameontheirproperty.Theproposed plantsitewouldbenearcenturysoldundisturbedland.ThispartofTXhasa lotofhistoryandespeciallythisarea.JustyesterdayintheVictoriaAdvocate Dec.29,2010,sectionB,page1,Historianstrytoprovethathistorictrail linkingpresidiosdidpassthroughVictoriaCo.

Anothergreatconcernthewhoopingcranesandourbaysandestuariesthat canberuinedbythisplantlocation.Whataboutterrainandthepossibilityof subsidence?Whatabouttheheatfromthecoolingpond?Willitchangeour weatherconditionshere?Wehavecattleandexperiencefrequentdroughts.

Exelonwillbeusingourriverwaterindroughts.

Weaslandownershavehadthelandforgenerationsinthisarea.Thisareaof VictoriaCohasremainedremoteasincenturiespastwithoutdisturbingthe wildlifehabitat.

Theeducatedengineersdontknoweverythingabouttheshiftinggroundhere inthispartoftheworldasdothelandownersinthissitearea.
