Dear Mr. Precht:
This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. Gerard Couture of your staff and Ms. Mary Thomas of this office on December 15, 2010, concerning a pre-decisional enforcement conference. This conference is being conducted at our request, and is scheduled for January 12, 2011, at 8:30 a.m. (EST). The purpose of the conference is to discuss the apparent violations associated with the failure of design features of a filter press. The apparent violations were discussed in NRC Inspection Report No. 70-1151/2010-202. The location of the conference will be at the NRC Region II Office, Marquis One Tower, 245 Peachtree Center Avenue, N.E., Suite 1200, Atlanta, Georgia 30303. This will be a Category 1 meeting in which the public is invited to observe. Members of the public will have the opportunity to communicate with the NRC staff after the business portion, but before the conference is adjourned, as per the NRC policy statement, Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings, published in the Federal Register: May 28, 2002 (Volume 67, Number 102, Page 36920-36924).
