Dear Administrative Judges:
In accordance with the Boards September 15, 2010, Memorandum, and Section 2.1203(a), the NRC staff is providing notice that it has updated the hearing file for this proceeding and has made it available to the parties. For any member of the public that wishes to inspect the hearing file, the Staff has created a separate folder in the agencys Electronic Hearing Docket (EHD) associated with this proceeding entitled Diablo Hearing File, and the updated documents, along with an index listing the documents, will be published in that folder.
Also in accordance with the order, the Staff is providing its best estimate of the dates that it expects to issue the draft and final versions of Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) and the Safety Evaluation Report. The draft and final SEIS are currently scheduled to be issued on February 18, 2011 and October 21, 2011, respectively. The Safety Evaluation, with open items, is currently scheduled to be issued on January 10, 2011 and the final Safety Evaluation Report is currently scheduled to be issued on May 23, 2011. In addition, the Board Administrative Judge Alex S. Karlin, Chair Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel Mail Stop: T-3F23 Washington, DC 20555-001 Administrative Judge Paul B. Abramson Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel Mail Stop: T-3F23 Washington, DC 20555-0001 Administrative Judge Nicholas G. Trikouros Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Panel Mail Stop: T-3F23 Washington, DC 20555-0001 asked the Staff to report the dates that the Staff believes that the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) and its subcommittees will issue their respective letters or reports regarding the Diablo Canyon License Renewal Application. The ACRS Subcommittee meeting is scheduled for February 9, 2011 and the ACRS full committee meeting is scheduled for July 2011. The ACRS recommendation letter should be issued in August 2011.
