By letter dated November 30, 2009 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML093380291), as supplemented by letter dated June 22,2010 (ADAMS Accession No. ML101800265), Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy, the licensee) submitted relief request RBS-ISI-014 for the River Bend Station, Unit 1 (RBS). The proposed relief request would credit RBS's hydrogen water chemistry/online noble metal chemical application program in establishing specific examination criteria based on BWRVIP-75-A, "BWR
[Boiling-Water Reactor] Vessel and Internals Project, Technical Basis for Revisions to Generic Letter 88-01 Inspection Schedules," October 2005, for all of the subject American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI, Examination Category B-F reactor vessel nozzle-to-safe end welds addressed in RBS-ISI-014.
By letter dated November 4, 2010 (ADAMS Accession No. ML103130042), Entergy requested to withdraw the application from Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review. The NRC acknowledges your request to withdraw the application. NRC staff activities on the review have ceased and the associated Technical Assignment Control number has been closed.
