This RAI was already sent to you on June 28, 2010, and addressed in your letter dated August 12, 2010, Response to Request for Additional Information Associated with Technical Specification Table 3.4-1 Isolation Valve Addition.
This is being resent because the e-mail dated June 28, 2010, did not go into the ADAMS, due to an oversight. No separate action and/or response to this RAI is required.

- Billy, By letter dated February 22, 2010, as supplemented by letter dated June 8, 2010, Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy) made application to amend the Technical Specifications (TS) of the Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3 (Waterford 3).
The proposed amendment adds valve SI-4052A (Reactor Coolant Loop 2, Shutdown Cooling Suction, Inside Containment Bypass Isolation) and valve SI-4052B ((Reactor Coolant Loop 1, Shutdown Cooling Suction, Inside Containment Bypass Isolation) to Technical Specification Table 3.4-1. The purpose of this line is to equalize the shutdown cooling system pressure down stream of valve SI-405A (Reactor Coolant Loop 2, Shutdown Cooling Suction Inside Containment Isolation) and valve SI-405B
((Reactor Coolant Loop 1, Shutdown Cooling Suction Inside Containment Isolation).
After an initial review, the NRC staff has the following 2 comments on your response dated June 8, 2010, to RAI on subject LAR.
The staff requests you to provide required additional information as soon as possible, but within 30 days of the receipt of this request.

- 1) RAI 6.b response - We need a summary of the licensees EQ calculation. All design information has to be completed before we can review the application.
- 2) RAI 7 - The licensee needs to provide a protective coordination curve that shows the penetration, loads, and cables are protected by the fuses/breakers.
