"-1 Monday, April 19, 2010 11:08 AM Schroeder, Daniel Salem Ul AFW I did a little research. Early in TRIP-1 following an SI, both MDAFW pumps should start. If one does not, then the TDAFW pump is started. Therefore the situation that you described, when flow through two AF21's and two AF1 l's converge, can occur early in an event. I attempted to contact Gerry Gauding in training (since I'm working with him for this upcoming exam) but he was not available. I left a message for him to contact me.
Hopefully he can provide information on the AFW pressures and flows in the above situation or how these parameters are controlled/limited. I'll keep you posted. Dave 1./~i
