SUMMARY
OF THE SEPTEMBER 30, 2010, PUBLIC EXIT MEETING TO DISCUSS THE PRELIMINARY RESULTS FROM THE SPECIAL INSPECTION CONDUCTED AT BRAIDWOOD STATION On September 30, 2010, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a public exit meeting at the Braidwood City Hall in Braidwood, Illinois. The meeting was between NRC Region III management and Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon) management to present the preliminary results of the NRC Special Inspection that was conducted onsite at Braidwood Station in response to the dual unit trip that occurred on August 16, 2010. The meeting notice and NRC presentation can be found in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) as ML102590093 and ML102730329, respectively. A list of principal NRC and licensee meeting participants can be found in the Enclosure.
The NRC began the meeting with an overview of the sequential unit trip. This was followed by a discussion of the NRC=s Special Inspection scope and preliminary results of the inspection. As part of this exit meeting, Exelon acknowledged and responded to the NRC=s assessment. At the end of the meeting, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NRC officials.
