RE: FYI: RBS Choice letter response This is just a quick note to communicate that I talked to Brian Ford at RBS and they are officially requesting a PEC. I also understand that they also contacted Tom and Anneliese in the office (I am at home today) to state the same. They will also be sending in a letter next week requesting the PEC in writing. Anneliese will be working with them and necessary NRC staff and management support to pinpoint the date for the PEC with due sensitivity to the IRRS mission to occur shortly.

FYI: RBS Choice letter response In the interest of clarification and simplification I spoke directly to Brian Ford (Senior Manager of Licensing for Entergy) regarding the intent of their requested call tomorrow on the River Bend enforcement action.
After further inquiry he indicated that the purpose of the call was merely to inform the NRC of which path they would choose to respond to the NRC letter. This was not clear after their initial contact with us. Additionally, he stated it had to be tomorrow because he did not have all the necessary concurrences to confirm which response path they would take today and they could not wait until Monday as the 10 day required response date would be this Sunday.
Nonetheless he indicated they were unofficially leaning towards requesting a PEC. I will talk to him again tomorrow to confirm this as their official response and inform you all of this outcome.
We can then begin with the next steps on our end.
Consequently there will be no need for a conference call tomorrow (Friday).
