I've written back and said "We would certainly welcome the attendance of the committee members or consultants at our meeting. It will be a great opportunity for the committee to hear our presentation on the license renewal review process, and the questions/concerns from the community regarding renewal of the licenses for Diablo Canyon."
I'll be in touch regarding the revised meeting date as soon as I hear from the hotel.

Thank you for your prompt reply. We were not aware of your meeting when planning ours. Frankly, we were not aware of your Committee and its purpose. We believe it imprudent to hold simultaneous meetings for which the audiences would likely be the same. I am going to try to move our meeting to the day before (February 9th). Out of courtesy, I will let you know if the change can be accommodated. I apologize for causing conflict--
as I mentioned, we were not aware of your committee or its meeting dates until we were informed on Monday night by Mothers of Peace.

- Hello, I am the safety project manager for the Diablo Canyon license renewal application that was submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in late November 2009. I recently found out that the DCISC is scheduled to have public meetings on February 10 and 11, 2010. Coincidentally, the NRC was planning to conduct a public meeting on February 10th. I would like to find out more about your meeting agenda and time frames.
