Dear Ms. Lampert:

In an Order dated August 5, 2010, the Secretary of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) responded to your submission, dated July 25, 2010, entitled Pilgrim Watch Notice to Commission Regarding New and Significant Information Pertaining to Pilgrim Watchs Petition for Review of LBP-06-848. In her letter, the Secretary states that your letter neither addresses nor meets the Commissions standards for seeking reconsideration, or for reopening a closed record, a`nd therefore, merits no further adjudicatory action by the Commission. The Secretary referred your submission to the NRCs Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation for consideration, as appropriate.

On August 12, 2010, a member of my staff, informed you that the NRC intends to take no further action on your submission dated July 25, 2010, and offered you, as an alternative process, the opportunity to present your concerns to the NRC as a petition under the provisions of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR), Section 2.206. The NRC staff understands that in response, you opted to submit your concerns by letter dated August 13, 2010, under the 10 CFR 2.206 process. The NRC has received your letter, and is currently reviewing your petition request per NRC Management Directive 8.11, Review Process for 10 CFR 2.206 Petitions (Agencywide Documents Access Management System Accession No. ML041770328).
