Docket Nos. 50-275-LR and 50-323-LR RE: Monthly Update of the Projected Schedule for Completion of the Safety and Environmental Evaluations

Dear Administrative Judges:

Pursuant to the Boards Order of September 15, 2010 (Initial Scheduling Order),Section II.D Monthly Status Report, whereby commencing on September 16, 2010, the NRC Staff shall submit a short report specifying its best estimate of issuance of the draft SEIS, final SEIS, SER with open items, final SER and the projected dates when the subcommittee and full committee will meet concerning the Diablo Canyon license renewal, I have attached the latest schedule.

As stated before, the projected dates are the Staffs current best estimate of the milestones and, as result of additional data that may become available and additional analysis that may be required, are subject to change. Additionally, the draft SEIS and final SEIS activities are subject to change and dependent on the Commissions waiver decision or the Commission decision on any pending appeals regarding the environmental contentions. Accordingly, the Staff will update the schedule and inform the parties as necessary.
