Dear Mr. Marion:

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the topical report (TR) program, we are seeking up-to-date information on future TR submittals for planning and budgeting purposes. We request that you provide a list of planned TR submittals to the U.S.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for FY2011, FY2012, and FY2013 with the following information for each planned TR:

  • if it is submitted for NRC staff review or for information only,
  • if it contains proprietary information,
  • if it will apply to existing plants, new plants, or both,
  • the estimated number of licensed facilities planning to use the approved TR, and

We request this information be provided by October 15, 2010. The NRC staff plans to request similar updates at 6-month intervals to assist us in continually improving our utilization of resources. If you have any questions regarding this request, please contact Sheldon Stuchell at 301-415-1847.
