REVISION OF SCHEDULE FOR REVIEW OF THE INDIAN POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING UNIT NOS. 2 AND 3, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION
Dear Mr. Pollock:
Enclosed is a revised schedule for the review of the Indian Point Nuclear Generating Unit Nos. 2 and 3, license renewal application. The schedule has been updated to reflect a change in the date for the issuance of the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS).
The staff plans to issue the Final SEIS by November 19, 2010. This delay is a result of the staff time necessary to finalize the document. As you are aware, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has received sjgnificantly more comments from stakeholders during the course of this environmental review than in any other license renewal review to date.
