SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT (SQN) FACILITY NO. 0-330628 - REQUEST FOR CLOSURE AND NO FURTHER ACTION REGARDING CLEANUP OF DIESEL SPILL ASSOCIATED WITH UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS (USTs) IDENTIFIED JUNE 26, 2009 The purpose of this letter is to inform you that all of the diesel fuel contaminated soil has been shipped offsite to the Rhea County Landfill for disposal under Special Waste Approval from the Division of Solid and Hazardous Waste Management. A total of 353,240 pounds of diesel fuel contaminated soil was shipped under Special Waste Approval SPC ID# 72-5106. We request concurrence that no further action is needed and the site can be clean closed.
