- NON EMERGENCY POC: Charley Pike (700) 821-0015 On January 27, 2010, one green sea turtle was retrieved from the plant's intake canal. The turtle was found dead from injuries that were not causal to plant operation.
The turtle will be held in a freezer for necropsy. Per the plant's turtle permit, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWCC) was notified at 0837 EST. This non-emergency notification is being made pursuant to 10 CFR 50.72(b)(2)(xi) due to the notification of the FWCC.
The licensee has notified the NRC Resident Inspector.
Notified R2DO (Widmann) and NRR Endangered Species group via email.
