- NON EMERGENCY "On January 6, 2010, one Loggerhead Sea Turtie and one Green Sea Turtle were retrieved from the plant's intake canal. The Loggerhead had moderate scrapes and bone exposed and was in poor condition. The Green Sea Turtle was cold and lathargic. Neither condition was casuai to power plant operations and both were taken to rehab facilities. Per the plant's turtle pennit, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWCC) was notified at 1240 EST on January 6,2010. This non-emergency notification is being made pursuant to 10 CFR 50.72(b)(2)(xi) due to the notification of the FWCC."
The licensee informed the NRC Resident Inspector. Emailed notification to R2DOSeymour) and NRR(Endangered Species).
