"On September 14, 2009, a Green Sea Turtle was retrieved from the plants intake canal. The turtle was lethargic with minor injuries. It was determined that the injuries to the turtle were not causal to plant operations. The turtle will be sent to a rehabilitation facility for recovery. Per the plants turtle permit, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWCC) was notified at 1515 EDT. This non-emergency notification is being made pursuant to 10 CFR 50.72(b)(2)(xi) due to the notification of the FWCC."
