OF THE DUANE ARNOLD ENERGY CENTER MAY 4, 2010, NON-PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS END-OF-CYCLE SECURITY PERFORMANCE FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2009

Dear Mr. Costanzo:

On May 4, 2010, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a non-public meeting at the Duane Arnold Energy Center, located at 3277 DAEC Road, Palo, IA. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the NRC End-of-Cycle assessment of Duane Arnold Energy Center Security Performance for the 2009 calendar year.

Mr. Eric Duncan, Chief, Plant Support Branch, Division of Reactor Safety, Region III, opened the meeting with an introduction of NRC officials, the reason for the meeting, and a review of the NRCs Reactor Oversight Process. Mr. Duncan then discussed the Duane Arnold Energy Center Security Performance for the 2009 calendar year and provided the licensee with an opportunity to provide any response and remarks.

Mr. Duncan then adjourned the meeting.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter and the attendance listing will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records System (PARS) component of NRCs Agencywide Documents Access
