JOINT STATUS REPORT ON SETTLEMENT DISCUSSIONS Pursuant to the Atomic Safety and Licensing Boards March 23, 2010 Order (Convening Teleconference and Establishing Hearing Schedule), Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota corporation (NSPM), on its own behalf and on behalf of the Prairie Island Indian Community (PIIC), submits this joint report on the status of settlement discussions.
While the PIIC and NSPM have not yet reached an agreement, they continue to engage in settlement discussions. The parties will promptly inform the Board if and when any agreement is reached, but understand that in the meantime, they must move forward with preparation for hearing in accordance with the schedule that the parties expect to receive from the Board shortly.
Counsel for the PIIC has reviewed this joint status report and has authorized NSPM to file it on the PIICs behalf.
