Subject:
Commitment Change Associated with the Submittal of a Revised Pressure Temperature Limits Report, dated February 18, 2010.
On February 18, 2010 R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, LLC (Ginna LLC) submitted a revised commitment date for the submittal of an updated Pressure Temperature Limits Report (PTLR) incorporating the Ginna Capsule "N" test results (Reference 1). Following the submittal a verbal request was made to Ginna LLC by the NRC staff to augment the referenced letter with additional information supporting the revised commitment date.
The Capsule "N" test results have been evaluated and the existing Pressure-Temperature (P-T) limit curves in the current PTLR will remain bounding for plant operation until 34 effective full power years, which is beyond the date at which we plan to implement the revised PTLR.
