MILLSTONE POWER STATION UNIT 1 CLARIFICATION OF ORDERS IMPOSING INCREASED CONTROLS AND FINGERPRINTING AND CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORDS CHECK REQUIREMENTS ON POWER REACTOR LICENSEES UNDERGOING DECOMMISSIONING DATED NOVEMBER 23, 2009 On November 23, 2009, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Orders EA-09-204 and EA-09-205 (the Orders) to Dominion Nuclear Connecticut, Inc. (DNC) imposing increased controls for Millstone Power Station Unit 1. The Order imposes requirements on licensees possessing specified radioactive material quantities of concern.
In a December 17, 2009 letter (Serial No. 09-755A), DNC submitted an Answer and response to Order EA-09-205. On February 12, 2010 (Serial No. 09-755B)
DNC submitted an Answer and response to Order EA-09-204.
The purpose of this letter is to document information and clarification provided by emails from you on February 19 and 22, 2010 "that the 90 day implementation deadline in the subject Orders is in abeyance until we (the NRC) have addressed your (DNC's) responses."
