Purpose:

The NRC requested an Annual Assessment Meeting with PPL to discuss the NRC's assessment of the safety performance of the Susquehanna Steam Electric Station for calendar year 2009. The NRC's assessment is documented in a letter dated March 3, 2010.

Bream, Acting Resident Inspector, Susquehanna A Rosebrook, Senior Project Engineer, Branch 4, Region 1 Licensee: T. Rausch, Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer J. Helsel, Nuclear Plant Manager, SSES R. Pagodin, General Manager, Nuclear Engineering-SSES J. Tucker, General Manager, Maintenance-SSES R Smith, General Manager, Nuclear Programs-SSES Public Participation: The Susquehanna Annual Assessment Meeting is a Category 1 Meeting.

The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have opportunities to communicate with the NRC staff following the business portion, before the meeting is adjourned.

Several NRC representatives will also be available for an information session prior to the Annual Assessment Meeting with PPL. The information session is being provided to maximize discussion with the public to ensure their issues and concerns may be presented, understood, and considered by the NRC.
