Pilgrim nuclear plant My family has lived near the Pilgrim nuclear plant in Plymouth MA since it was built and as it gets older I get increasingly uncomfortable with age related technical worries.
By comparison, my 1988 classic automobile has only have 100,000 careful miles on it but I can't rely on parts that have deteriorated with age. Hoses may stiffen and crack and tires become less safe.
Some things I can easily replace - others I cannot. I want to be assured that nuclear plant protections redouble as it's age doubles.
Plymouth has a wonderful aquifer. Please increase protections for tritium and other potential leakage issues.
By the way, I am uncomfortable with the spent rod pool - it's just too jammed to be safe.
