Supplemental Information To Incorporate Westinghouse Optimized Fuel Assemblies (OFA) -

Transmitted herewith is a revised version of our December 30, 1988 submittal entitled "Supplemental Information to Incorporate Westinghouse Optimized Fuel Assemblies (OFA)".

This revision involves changes that are purely administrative in nature.

Specifically, on Pages 5 and 7 of the document, proprietary information which was inadvertently included in the non-proprietary version of the December 30 submittal has been deleted.

The technical content of the document is unaffected by the new revision.

Provided as Attachment A and B to this letter, respectively, are:

Four (4) copies of WCAP-12003 Revision 1,

"Westinghouse Improved Thermal Design Procedure Instrument Uncertainty Methodology for Consolidated Edison Company of New York Indian Point 2"

(proprietary), January, 1989.

Four (4) copies of WCAP-12004 Revision 1,

"Westinghouse Improved Thermal Design Procedure Instrument Uncertainty Methodology for Consolidated Edison Company of New York Indian Point 2"

(non-proprietary), January, 1989.

Attachment C is a Westinghouse authorization letter (CAW-89-016),

a Proprietary Information Notice, and an accompanying affidavit.

Since proprietary claims as to Attachment A are asserted by Westinghouse Electric N

Corporation, those claims are supported by an affidavit signed by N ~

Westinghouse.

The affidavit sets forth the basis on which claim is made 0 IL that the information may be withheld from public disclosure by the PC, Commission, and addresses the considerations listed in 10 CFR Section 2.790(b)(4).

Accordingly, it is respectfully requested that Attachment A, or in the alternative such portions of Attachment A as the Commission determined to be protected by 10 CFR Section 2.790 as proprietary to Westinghouse, be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with the Commission's regulations.

Correspondence with respect to the proprietary 0114 aspects of the Application for Withholding or the supporting Westinghouse Q1-Q Iaffidavit should refer to (CAW-89-016) and should be addressed to R. A.
